An Allegiant flight 1313 that took off from Cincinnati Thursday morning made an emergency landing at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington.

The plane departed Cincinnati for Fort Lauderdale around 11:30 a.m.

Twenty-five minutes after takeoff, near the Kentucky-Tennessee border, the plane turned around to return to Cincinnati, but quickly diverted to Blue Grass.

The reason for the diversion was an odour in the forward cabin. The airline reported that the smell disappeared during the flight, but the pilot decided to land at Blue Grass Airport to inspect the aircraft.

The flight landed at 12:35 with 144 passengers and 6 crew members on board the plane. No injuries were reported.

One passenger and two cabin crew members were examined by paramedics because they said they did not feel well.
