Why do airlines sometimes reject people after the final interview?

Reaching the final interview does not mean the job is guaranteed.
At that stage, airlines compare the last candidates very closely. Small things like weak English, low confidence, poor communication, or behaviour during the day can affect the final decision.
Medical checks or document problems can also lead to rejection later in the process.
