A group of four passengers in China who were stopped at Kunming Wujiaba International Airport with 66 lb (30 kg) of oranges were forced to eat them before their flight to avoid an extra baggage charge.

When they checked in at the airport before the flight, they were informed that their luggage was over the weight limit and would have to pay 300 yuan (about $ 46) to ship the oranges home.

Instead of paying the fee, the men decided to eat the entire 66 pounds of oranges in the departure lounge.

“We just stood there and ate the whole thing up. It took about 20-30 minutes,” one of them told the Global Times.

Soon after finishing their consumption the passengers reported that all of them suffered from mouth ulcers, and they never want to eat oranges again.
