Rex is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as full time solo flight attendants based in Perth. We are looking for people who are:
- Independent and self-reliant: As solo Flight Attendants, you will be responsible for managing the entire cabin independently, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight.
- Customer-focused: As a solo Flight Attendant you will manage your own cabin and have the opportunity to provide a caring and personalised service, whilst travelling to some of Australia’s most unique destinations.
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious: you will need to manage in-flight services while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with aviation regulations.
The role offers a great work/life balance along with a competitive remuneration and includes working on weekends, public holidays, shift work (which includes early starts & late finishes), and some nights spent away from home.
Some of the duties you will perform are equipment/security checks, in-flight announcements, in-flight food & beverage service, cleaning duties as well as handling various situations, that may occur in the cabin, on your own.

To meet requirements, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or over
- Have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Be no taller than 173 cm
- Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
- Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Be able to demonstrate that you have:
- Completed a minimum 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, or
- Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or
- Worked in the UK, Ireland or USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or
- Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5.
- Be able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a police security check
- Have experience in customer service
- Be able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device (a swim assessment is required)
- Be flexible; working hours will vary and include working during holiday times and peak periods
- Have a high level of personal presentation
- Have a natural willingness to please and care for people
Extensive training will be provided â flying experience is not required.
