Lufthansa is launching a Pride marketing campaign called “The World Says Yes to You,” solidifying its position as a supportive company for the LGBTQI+ community. The campaign aims to celebrate diversity and promote openness, tolerance, and inclusivity. Lufthansa acknowledges the challenges queer individuals face when traveling, as not all destinations offer a warm welcome. By highlighting welcoming places and people around the world, Lufthansa hopes to help queer travellers discover inclusive destinations.

The campaign features individuals such as Konstantinos, who curates the ‘Queer Archive’ in Athens, Nuala, who runs a surf school for queer people in Brazil, and Brian, the president of the Gay Rodeo Association in the USA. Lufthansa’s #TheWorldSaysYestoYou campaign will be showcased through various mediums, including newspapers, digital posters, and online platforms. The airline’s participation in Christopher Street Day parades in Munich and Frankfurt will further reinforce its message of acceptance.

Lufthansa’s dedication to diversity extends beyond the campaign. Since June 2022, one of their Airbus A320neo planes, named D-AINY, has been flying with a ‘Lovehansa’ livery adorned in rainbow colours. This serves as a year-round symbol of Lufthansa’s commitment to LGBTQI+ rights. Additionally, as a main sponsor of the Frankfurt Christopher Street Day Parade, the airline demonstrates its ongoing support for equality.

Amid recent incidents where airlines unintentionally caused offence, Lufthansa’s proactive approach to inclusivity stands out. By celebrating diversity and actively supporting the queer community, Lufthansa sets an example for other organisations, promoting acceptance and fostering a more inclusive world for everyone.
