The Emirates Group, following an active 2022/23 financial year in recruitment, is gearing up for another global quest for talent. The expansive recruitment plan encompasses over 180 roles, including pilots, cabin crew, engineers, IT professionals, and customer service agents. The Group’s goal to fill these positions extends across six continents, a testament to its international reach and ambition.

Fuelling Growth with Global Talent

The Emirates Group’s recent recruitment campaign saw a whopping 17,160 newcomers join the team, pushing the company’s total workforce to over 102,000. The allure of being part of this growth story, along with the prospect of living in Dubai – one of the safest, most cosmopolitan, and dynamic cities worldwide – has piqued global interest. Last financial year alone, approximately 2.7 million applications streamed in from around the world.

The strategy in this fresh drive is to find the brightest minds, employing advanced technologies, such as digital assessments and artificial intelligence. The Group promises efficient processing, intending to complete the hiring process within a day and provide feedback within 48 hours. These rapid turnaround times not only streamline the recruitment process but also help to secure top-tier talent in a competitive job market.

Piloting Towards the Future

Emirates’ pilot recruitment efforts include a series of open days in the UK and Ireland. The search is on for Airbus A380 Direct Entry Captains, First Officers with “multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft experience,” and “experienced Airbus Captains” for its Accelerated Command program. These efforts align with the imminent delivery of the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777-X fleets, set to join the Emirates ranks in 2024.

Ground Roles in the Spotlight

While in-flight roles take centre stage, the importance of ground roles isn’t overlooked. Engineering open days across Australia, Canada, Brazil, South Africa, and the UK seek to fill positions essential to retrofit programs and new aircraft arrivals. In the IT sector, the Group is eyeing the recruitment of over 400 new individuals. Customer service teams are also in line for expansion, with part and full-time positions open across Emirates Airport Services, dnata, Marhaba Meet & Greet Services, and its contact centres.

Emirates Group’s global recruitment drive truly showcases its commitment to sustaining growth while maintaining high standards of operation and service. This endeavour demonstrates the Group’s readiness to evolve and adapt in a dynamic and demanding industry.
